Block Scheduling
Help Your Student Gain Greater Focus
Offered in high school science and social studies courses, block scheduling is an effective tool that allows students to concentrate on fewer courses at a time in a condensed schedule (typically a nine-week period).
Block scheduling has several benefits:
- By spending more time on each subject, students can focus their efforts on fewer subject areas without having to jump from subject to subject every day.
- Coursework can often be completed during an extended class session with access to real-time help.
- With a condensed schedule, students who need to recover a credit may be able to catch up more quickly.
